Approval Process for New SIGs

The detailed specific procedures for establishing a USNAAA SIG are contained within the USNA AA SIG Handbook.

Interested Alumni
Gather 25 or more Alumni Association members with the common shared interest, develop charter, leadership and submit application per the USNAAA SIG Handbook

Alumni Assn Staff
Review application package and forward to Membership & Alumni Services Committee for Review

Governance Committee
Review the charter to ensure it complies with existing governance. Return to MASC

Membership & Alumni Services Committee
MASC review to ensure SIG application meets all requirements. Forward to Governance for review.

Executive Committee
Review application package and forward to full Board of Trustees for approval

Board of Trustees
Vote to approve new SIG

Engage Alumni as a Board Approved SIG
